The Pate has been developed by a group of competitive vertical fishers. The idea behind this sliding jig is that you can quickly alter the length of the leader between the lure and the hook by sliding the lure along the line.
Vertical fishing experts have observed that the length of the leader has an effect on how keen perch are to strike at a lure. A shy fish will strike at a hook at the end of a long leader while fish in a feeding frenzy prefer a short leader. You may replace the regular hook with any of our small Kirppu mormyshkas.
